Key Stage Two Curriculum

“Since we cannot know what knowledge will be most needed in the future, it is senseless to try to teach it in advance. Instead, we should try to turn out people who love learning so much and learn so well that they will be able to learn whatever needs to be learned, they need to be creative with their learning”

John Holt

We deliver a creative curriculum across all schools within the Federation which means all of our learning takes place within a ‘theme’ or ‘topic’. The teams work closely together to plan and deliver engaging and exciting learning experiences that motivate pupils and allow them to develop the skills knowledge and understanding they need to excel. Please follow the links below to see how the National Curriculum Programmes of Study are delivered within each ‘theme’ or unit of work. At the beginning of each term the class teachers use this document to create an overview of the topic. This information is then sent home to parents.
